This weekend my daughter visited here with her two little ones; we squeezed in a visit to the local pumpkin farm/patch on Saturday morning. The weather was glorious, perfect for being outside. I think the kids had fun too! Pumpkins, animals, hayride, snacks; all pretty standard activities for the pumpkin patch I do believe………

I’m back, I think, after a short break……although I still have loads of stuff I need to be doing around here instead of being on the computer. Stacy and Tim were kind enough to upgrade wordpress for me after doing Stacy’s and I think it’s going to take a bit more for me to learn […]

We had a good time with Katelyn but she’s gone home now and we’re trying to get back into a routine here! She’s very active, always on the go or wants to play and I’ve forgotten how to manage toddlers and housework. Just let some of it slide and enjoy the rest, right?!! There was […]

Thursday night Liz and I drove to the New Orleans airport to pick up son David, who has been in Alaska for 4 months working! He was originally due to arrive early Friday morning but got on an earlier flight. The downside for us was the New Orleans airport is about 4 1/2 hours away […]

* We had a busy but fun weekend. Hubby played in a local golf tournament with one of his good friends. Liz’s boyfriend was here and sis Stacy and her hubby Tim came up as well! The 4 guys played 27 holes Saturday in lots of sunshine and heat…around 100 with a heat index that […]

Do all toddlers and little kids have big imaginations at times? I think I might remember that Grayson or Ava Clair talked about imaginary friends or people some, Grayson might have talked about dinosaurs that way because he loves them so much. We saw Katelyn at her house right before they moved, then they went […]

“that leads to your door” The trip between my house and Charlotte is a long one! And could be even longer with the 2 year old that came back with us because we made a few more stops than normal. We had to find a McD*nalds that had a place play for lunch, sometimes not […]

I’ve been thinking for a few weeks that I might should make another quick trip to North Carolina before the kids moved back. It would be a good time for Elizabeth to go with me and Kathryn thought we could help keep the kids occupied for them. So this past weekend when E got through […]

It’s been really hot in the south lately, and what better way to cool off than in the pool! Not me of course but the kiddies. My daughter called and told me recently that she bought one for the backyard because it was too hard for one person to take a toddler and a nine […]

“….. soft and warm is your bed” One of the projects I worked on before making this last trip to Texas was a little quilt for new baby Henry. Now that he’s a couple months old, I need to stop calling him the new baby! I’m still feeling my way through doing a blanket so […]
