there’s only one place they call me one of their own

For about a month now daughter Elizabeth has been home for a bit taking a class and getting ready to move to Jackson. I’ve really enjoyed having her here and being company for me while hubby works 15-16 hour days during the summer!

She makes coffee each morning, has cleaned some stuff out of her old room for me, washes clothes, cleans house and was even able to drive to NC with me. We had friends over Friday night to watch a movie and when we came downstairs afterwards she had taken everything out of the fridge, totally cleaned it out and reorganized everything! I could get used to having her all the time but I know she’s ready to go. 🙂

Our other daughter and her family moved back to MS this past weekend and I kept her 2 kids for 4 days so they could unload a truck and unpack everything. I was very grateful for Liz’s help in keeping kids that are very active and need lots of attention! We played with toys, went swimming, fed and changed them and she helped me bathe them each night and get them to bed. I took them back to their mom yesterday; we had tons of fun but “Aunt Wiz” and I are very tired now!

The cat is one of Katelyn’s favorite things and most days he’s pretty nice to her

For some reason, they loved the hot wheels cars that are around here

Sam in 9 months old now

who says you can’t go home

Ah, one leaves and another returns. Good luck to Elizabeth and her move. Bet it will be nice having those 2 little ones so close! Sam is getting so big!

I know how much you are enjoying Liz being home. Please tell her that she’s MORE than welcome to clean out my fridge in the next few days 🙂 I wish I had gotten to see the kids, we can’t wait to go visit or have them over. I hope they get settled soon so we can all get together. I bet they do love the cat, and hopefully they’ll like our Beau. He’s a lot bigger than the cat though 🙂

Maybe you can get some rest now. Tell Don to try to get some too 🙂
