Today is Elizabeth’s birthday! Happy Birthday…..hope your day is good, even though you have to work.
So, tell us these things:

Happy Birthday!
I have so many photos that it’s hard to decide which ones to post! If I put too many, people might get bored with it so I’m having a hard time narrowing them down. If you want to see a few more that go along with the part two I wrote below, click the -more- link:

We slept in a little later on Monday, ate light in the room and rode a bus over to Animal Kingdom Park. Went straight to the Kilimanjaro Safari and got a fast pass and then went to eat (at least I think that’s the order we did it!) Ate lunch at Tusker House Restaurant….good roasted vegetable sandwiches and rotisserie chicken meal, plus desserts! Then it was our turn to do the Safari, got in the fast pass line and went past everyone waiting in line to get on! Kinda fun to pass everyone up! The ride was a little cheesy and maybe typical Disney, but the animals were magnificent and it was really fun and we were glad to be there because this part of the park was new to all of us.

Trent’s family at the Halloween party, trick or treating

I wanted to write about our trip to Disney while it is still fairly fresh in my mind. A couple of weeks ago, we left on a Saturday to fly to Orlando to meet Trent, Shanna, Grayson and Ava Clair for a week long trip to see the Mouse! We had a great time.

I have loved to read all my life, but this year Stacy and I made an effort to make a goal of reading more or reading a certain number of books in the year. I think we have both reached and gone beyond our goal. I have enjoyed most everything I’ve read, but most of what I’ve read has been Christian fiction…..with a few other things thrown in here and there. I guess I should get Stacy to put me a book counter or something on the side, like she has!
I’ve read several books by Nicholas Sparks; one by Maria Shriver, a small one she just had out this year; 10+ books by Karen Kingsbury…..liked all of them; a couple of books by Terri Blackstock, who is a Mississippi writer from Clinton I think; a Stephanie Plum Christmas type book, which I did NOT like at all; the Wayward Wind Series by Brock and Bodie Thoene; the Love Comes Softly Series (8 books) and the Canadian West Series (5 or 6 books) by Janette Oke, frontier or prairie type stories that I really enjoyed, even more than I first thought I would; and now I’m on a series called A Place Called Home by Lori Wick, I’ve read two so far and that brings my total for the year to……………..38 books! Pretty good I think and most of the time, it’s better than watching tv!
Welcome to my blog……. Keep watching and maybe there will be something here later!
