I found this one and will do it, play along if you like and post a comment or post in your blog and let us know if you do that!

Any job
If you could take any job for just one month, what job would you like to have? (Assume that you have the knowledge to perform adequately)

I would be a singer/dancer in a Broadway musical!
(a month would be perfect!)

I love this picture! It was a great Christmas card this year, or at least I was told that by many people that received it. Now I’m putting it on my blog so I can look at it on here for a little while!

We have a new Walmart in our small town; a Walmart Supercenter opened here today and the old one closed last night. So, had to go and check it out today! It is 3 times larger than the old store but I think it’s not as big as some other supercenters I have been in before. It does have more in it but just not big long aisles with lots of choices or maybe it depends on the specific item you are looking for. I wonder how it will affect the other stores here, although we don’t have a whole lot of other stuff to choose from anyway. My old store never carried the HE detergent that I need for my washer and I asked them to stock it but they never did. This one had some, but just not very many brands to choose from…….the store 30 minutes from here had a few more choices. Price you pay for small towns I suppose. I also went to the other fairly big grocery store here today, and I think that for this week anyway, their prices will be fairly competitive….not sure how long that will last though.

I got this from Stacy’s blog, and it looked kinda fun, so I’m taking it and putting it in mine!

1. What time of day is too late to telephone someone?
like 9:30 or 10:00 at night, some people I know I can call that late and some I
know I can’t.

2. Have you ever looked up the lyrics to a song online?
Yes! I do it all the time, sometimes it’s the only way I can find them.

3. What’s your favorite dessert to order at a restaurant?
That is a tough one, I very rarely order dessert out…….but if Key Lime Pie was
on the menu, I would probably almost always order it! I love it and don’t ever
make it so that would probably be my choice.

I was tagged by Stacy for this one, and am way late but maybe better late than never. So:

1. Chocolate—an unfortunate weakness for me! I love it and want it all the time. Sometimes I am better about not having it or having it small amounts but usually just can’t quit when I start! And Don brought me back a bar of Ghiradelli from San Francisco! If I had remembered that it was located there, I probably would have told him to get me some for baking.

2. Sudoku—-right now I am loving it and am very addicted to it! Discovered it after Thanksgiving and bought a small book of puzzles before Christmas that I have been working on, so I do that every day!

3. TV—I should really do better, and I think I do now but still have lots of things I like to watch on a regular basis.

4. Reading—did really good with this one last year but have had a slow start this year with it, but I’ve been rather busy! I have always loved to read, since I was little and it is still so enjoyable to me now.

5. Anything Tina Turner! There are several things I could have picked for my last one but just had to go with this, because I’m sure if my kids read it, they will groan! I have several cd’s, taped shows with her on it that I watch over and over and still enjoy. I want to be a backup singer/dancer for her, lol! Plus, I want to look that good when I get older, but I guess if I had that kind of money that celebrities have to use on themselves, I might could look good!

Kathryn and Jeremy had their new baby on Wednesday, as Stacy posted on the home page. So, I am in North Carolina helping out with everything at the house, and having fun! Katelyn is so adorable and so far has been a good baby too! Jeremy has made a website for her and lots of you probably have seen it but if you haven’t and would like to, email me and I will send you the link. She was born Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 5:43 p.m. She weighed 8 lb and 2 oz and was 21 inches long and has a head full of dark hair, sort of like her mama did when she was born! She reminds me of Kathryn in that way and I think her eyes sort of look like Kathryn’s as well. She has been sleeping a lot, especially during the day and has done better the last night or so with going back to sleep pretty well after they feed her. I have grocery shopped, cooked, cleaned, washed clothes; it’s kind of like being at home! We are so excited she is here and healthy and doing good and look forward to the time in March when they can come to Mississippi to show her off!

I took Suzanne’s quiz she had in her blog about being a workaholic…..she said it wasn’t necessarily for workers in the “traditional” sense, although I’m sure that it is supposed to be mainly for that. My score was a 50, said I was not a workaholic!
Click here to take the quiz.

My results said similar thing to what Stacy posted on Suzanne’s blog, efficient worker and I should not worry that my work style would negatively impact myself or others. I’m not so sure about the efficient part!

Don and I went to see a new movie this weekend, “Walk the Line”……the movie about Johnny Cash. We have had quite a bit written about it in the paper here and in several other publications we get in the mail. I read that his children from his first marriage, 4 girls, weren’t too happy about the movie and maybe about the way their mother was portrayed. One of his daughters lives in Canton, which I did not know and it was interesting to read about her and her life. I believe his only child with June Carter, a son, was an executive producer on this film. Anyway, I wanted to see it after reading so much about it and we pretty much enjoyed it. I thought that Joaquin Phoenix and especially Reese Witherspoon did a very good job with their performances and singing, did all the singing and playing themselves. I never knew much about Johnny Cash until maybe his later years in life. This movie dealt more with his early years, from when he was a child until he married June Carter in 1968. It is the same story that you see in most every movie or film about musicians; a rise and fall story, born poor, succeeds, then slides into the drug-induced excesses of the road. It is sad to me that so many of them seem to be that way. And sad that an event in his childhood marked and shaped him for so long, but Don said that is not unusual for any of us in life! I think the movie was at its best when Johnny and June were on the stage singing; I thought they were wonderful and the movie will certainly get some nominations or awards. I was sorry that more wasn’t given to the part that his spiritual life played in his recovery, that was a major part of his life and there was only one brief scene that alluded to it. But I was glad that we went to see it at the theater……so many more are coming out this holiday season that I want to see also!
