with a big black horse and a Cherry tree

1. I’ve not gotten back to walking regularly since my achilles tendon injury and I’m tired of feeling sluggish. I think I’m going to try to ease back into it gradually with lots of stretching, maybe some new shoes, and see what happens. In the meantime, a friend does water aerobics and told me she’d show me the ropes. 4 of us got together Sunday afternoon for a short session and then I went to the pool with her this morning for her regular workout. I don’t love swimming, swim suits or pools much at all so I’m not sure how long I’ll stick with it. One good thing, we went at 6:45 this morning so there was NO one at the pool!
2. This month our sunday school lessons have been on the book of Revelation; which I usually stay away from because I don’t always understand it. But one of the verses this week talked about Jesus having a “name written that no one knows about except Himself”. A secret name! To remind us that Christ is infinite and that we’ll never reach the end of knowing Him…..I kinda liked that!
3. I’m loving E’s Brita water pitcher she brought here to use. I like it best when the water is really cold! Might have to buy one of those when she moves out. Unless….I’m wanting needing a new fridge. I think maybe some of them have filtration systems on the door; does that work the same way? So then there would be no need for a Brita pitcher?
4. The people here aren’t particularly liking the movies I’ve had coming through my netflix queue! I need suggestions………..got any movies you’ve seen/rented lately that you like?
5. I finished Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult recently and really enjoyed it! I also finally read a Grisham book of Stacy’s I borrowed many moons ago, The Partner, and I really enjoyed it too! It might be because I hadn’t read one of his books in such a long time but this one piqued my interest from the start, always fun for that to happen.
6. I bought this bag while grocery shopping today

Oh I LOVE cherries and these are so good! But that small bag was $7.50, ouch; that’s because we live in the middle of nowhere!
Wonder if they come frozen so you can enjoy them in the winter? Probably, but I bet you have to be in a place bigger than here to find them. 😆

Love that song and I haven’t played it in a while on my iPod. 🙂

Love these random posts. Let’s see -water aerobics is awesome! I’m so glad you’re going, I bet it’s fun and a lot less stress on your heel and ankle. Is it hurting at all from the two times? And I know you like exercising early, so you should make a schedule and stick to it. Always better to exercise with someone else, they’ll keep you motivated. Yeah 🙂

Our new fridge has a water thing on the front with a purifier. We buy these Pur cartridges at Lowes and change every few months. So I have never gotten the water thing for the faucet or the pitcher. I say pull for the new fridge rather than caving and buying a Brita pitcher! LOL 🙂

I list all the movies we watch on my sidebar. We have a couple of new ones here, but also some shows on the DVR to watch. Not enough time. We just had a Bourne-a-thon this weekend. Tim was hurting pretty bad Sunday and couldn’t play golf. He laid on the couch with the heating pad all afternoon and evening and we watched all 3 movies back to back. I like that. We have 2 new ones in…

I knew you’d like Plain Truth and you’ll like The Pact too. Read it soon. I have more Grisham’s to catch up with, but Partner and Testament are 2 of my favorites. You can borrow any of ours, we only lack 2 of his.

Oh my gosh. I LOVE cherries but rarely splurge on them. The bags here are that much or more. When they put them “on sale” they load up the bags so you still spend almost the same amount of money. Eat some for me, you KNOW how much I love cherry anything.

    🙂

Plain Truth is my favorite Picoult novel that I have read so far. Glad you enjoyed it too!

  3. Lynne Says:

My refrigerator has filtered water inside, not on the door. I looked at the ones with it on the door, but that takes away door storage space. And since we don’t use ice cubes that often, I decided to get the one with it inside. I change the filter twice a year.

We used to use a Brita pitcher, but don’t need to use it anymore. I can’t drink tap water any more. Yuck!

We watched mama mia last night… not on video yet, but it was worth going to see in the theater!
I have Bucket list, but haven’t watched it yet…
I bought mom a big box of cherries on her birthday (along with her gift :)… She loves cherries. They were at Sams.

  5. kreed Says:

I love my Brita but it sounds like I am behind the times compared to everyone else and their door filter fridges!

I have Atonement in my movie pile but haven’t watched it yet…

  6. jen Says:

Cherries here are pretty pricey right now too. I love them though..yum yum. Movies…have you seen The Bucket List? Very good. We loved it. We dont watch alot of movies in the summer….in the winter we do though.
Enjoy that early morning swim…that will be nice…

  7. Dawn Says:

I read a Grisham book (“The Summons”) and didn’t really get into it. I haven’t read anything by him since. Maybe I should try a different book? I have been considering trying something by Jodi Picoult but I haven’t yet. I take it as a good sign that her books are rarely available at the library though.

  8. Tammy Says:

You know those cherries I picked at my mom’s? Um…this year, they had tiny little worms in them. Yuck.

But this week, I went to an organic type store and they had them on sale for $3.99 lb- those same kind in your picture. Thankfully, they are pest-free! LOL
Wow…I know cherries are expensive everywhere, but $7.50- ouch, is right!

We don’t watch a lot of new movies…just took the girls with their grandma as you might remember to see the American Girl movie- it was very good, for all of us generations! 🙂

  9. Coach Jenny Says:

In my new house we have a fridge with a filter for the water dispenser in the door, and I’ve wondered the same thing. I love my Brita water holder. It really does take the chlorine smell and taste out of my water. I’ll be checking in on your comments.
As far as movies, we’ve gone to the theaters for the past two movies, so that does you no good. DON’T watch I Am Legend with kids around. And it was kinda scary to me. I hear that College Road Trip-I think that’s the name-is good. With Raven Simone.
