No time to say hello, good-bye,
I’m late, I’m late, I’m late
.”

My house looks like a bomb went off in it! So I need to make a date to clean today…..and I need a normal week with not much else going on. I thought I would get around to blog visiting when I got home but it didn’t happen while miss Katelyn was here. She’s gone now to the beach with her parents but a few hours after she left I got the worst migraine; the only thing I can do is take something and go to bed to sleep it off. The next day I always feel like I’ve been run over by a mack truck! (my daughter told me red hot dogs could trigger migraines, which I ate on the 4th and I read that sharp cheddar could also trigger them….that was in the dip I made! Anyone know if those are true?)

I’m hoping to regroup this week.
1. I need a menu so I’ll feel organized
2. Probably need to grocery shop
3. Desperately need to wash clothes
4. The mending still needs to be worked on
5. Put away kids toys/equipment

I’m sure there’s more but that will get me started……..then I hope to pop around and visit! I’ve missed everyone.

I don’t know about the hot dogs, but I’ve heard that aged Cheddar will trigger migraines. I get mine when I’ve gone too long without eating or not drinking enough water. I took a little nap yesterday and woke with a killer migraine. The kind that makes you feel nauseous. I popped an Imitrex and a couple of Aleve and it slowly went away. Tip from my doctor: Take Aleve along with Imitrex – Imitrex works on the blood vessel, Aleve works on the inflammation around the blood vessel.

I’m taking Shelby to register for school today, then I’m reading for the rest of the day. Laundry is scheduled for tomorrow, grocery shopping on Wednesday.

    Hope you get everything done!

Glad the migraine is gone, they are no fun. I haven’t had one in a while, but I like the dark and quiet when my head hurts like that. I hope hot dogs don’t trigger them, I love hot dogs 🙂

I’ve got a lot of cleaning to do too. I’d say put that off and go get groceries – you have hungry mouths to feed, LOL!

I always thought migraines were triggered by not enough oxygen to the brain…I eat loads of sharp cheese and never get them. I get one or two a year though and it is awful and the only think to fix it is sleep. I got them as a child for awhile and outgrew them. I hope the house gets cleaned so you can have a rest of the week to chill.

I haven’t heard about either of those, but I hope you are feeling much better. Migraines are awful!

Migraines are just horrible, glad yours is gone.

Don’t worry about the house, just get yourself feeling better first 🙂

hmmmm for some reason it seems like I’ve heard that about the red hot dogs but I don’t eat them so that’s not one of my triggers but I haven’t heard that about the cheese.

I do hope you’re feeling better. Oh migraines just have a way of messing everything up. I get them all the time! I really hope you’re feeling better!

Red hot dogs? Hmmm… never heard of them?

    Sorry about your migraine.

    Praying you feel better soon.

There’s a whole slew of foods that can cause migraines. My cousin doesn’t eat chocolate or pork for those very reasons.

    Gail,

I’ll be praying for you to get back on track! I’m working on that this summer…getting back onto a normal schedule with housework, etc.

I think that migraine triggers differ from person to person. My triggers are hormonal, as well as heat, and sometimes MSG and a couple of other foods that I can’t remember what they are at the moment 🙂 Silly me! 🙂 But mostly my migraine triggers are heat and hormones. Thinking about it though (and I apologize for saying this as you’re just coming off of a migraine)….I haven’t had a migraine in quite some time! Praise God! 🙂

    Love and blessings,
