oh what can it mean

I’m cheering up for a couple of reasons today I hope.
* In a bit I’m taking the last of those dumb pills I’ve been taking for 10 days! I’m SO ready to be over with those.. they worked out really great the first few days. Took all my pain away, made my foot/tendonitis feel incredibly better but after a day or so it was another kind of pain. The main side effect for me has been the insomnia and I’m totally exhausted from lack of sleep. I’m jittery too and really need a good night’s sleep…got my fingers crossed for tonight!
* Hubby got daughter moved from Alabama while I was gone. She’s here taking a course to get a teacher’s license and is around for me to see, eat with and visit with. Oh it’s way more fun for me than her but I’m enjoying her while she’s around! (of course all her furniture plus all of youngest son’s stuff got moved here as well, eek….but only temporarily we think!)
* Father’s day shopping today…..hey maybe just the word shopping will perk me up!
* and if I get some plants in the ground that I’ve been putting off, it will be even nicer!

I usually never have any problem having no caffeine on a daily basis but these last couple of days I’ve slipped a bit. It gets me going plus I get to drink coffee with Liz in the morning and that has been a treat! But I don’t like the headaches that go with it so I’m off to find another way to get my morning going.
What makes you happy today?

    I love that Monkey’s song 🙂
What makes me happy? A freshly painted room 🙂

How nice for you to have your daughter close by for a while! What makes me happy today? Coffee with my friend this morning and then lunch with another friend — not great planning, but I’ll go with it! Have a nice day;)

I hope you feel better soon. What makes me feel good? Watching the kids play or a road trip through the country side…or a slice of watermelon with strawberry lemonade with it. I love summertime and all that comes with it. That is what makes me happy. Enjoy shopping today. That always puts a smile on my face too.

I hope the meds have helped your foot and that pain doesn’t come back when you stop the pills. Also hope you get a good night’s sleep! I don’t think I ever sleep through the night anymore. Must be an age thing! 🙂

I know you’re glad Liz is home and hopefully you guys wlll have a lot of good time to spend together. Tell her to come visit us some soon, we miss seeing her!

Hoping your foot will be totally fine now.

How nice that you have been able to get some good visiting time in with your daughter. We’re moving our oldest away to school this fall. I’m not looking forward to it.

What makes me happy? Lunch out with girlfriends or a movie night in with them, dinner out with hubby, cooking for my kids and having them love it, being in the mountains always makes me happy. My dog makes me happy.

Ah, I hope you’ll be feeling better as soon as those pills are done! I feel your pain…I’ve been sleepless for the past week, too, thanks to some dumb old respiratory ailment that has me coughing nearly constantly. Add to that a kid who was up throwing up during the night a couple night’s ago and it definitely makes for one bleary-eyed gal. Here’s to some sleep for both of us!

Any ideas for Father’s day? I’m stumped!

Coach Jenny beat me to it…I was going to complete the phrase!!!! Glad you get to spend some time with Elizabeth. My mom and dad will be here this weekend for our church’s 50th anniversary and then next weekend after my big test, I’m going to see them in TN. It’ll be fun. We’re going to see CATS!

  9. Dawn Says:

My happies for today: air conditioning, ice cream & tomorrow is Friday!

How fun for you to have your daughter around and I hope your ankle feels better. I tell you, some of those meds can really have doozy side affects. Back in April when I was on prednisone I couldn’t sleep, was hungry all the time and my blood pressure shot through the roof. Hope all that nastiness is behind you–oh, and your bible school classroom was adorable. 🙂
    *smiles*
