I was reminded of this song when I watched Idol the other night and that is probably my favorite version of it. It was used on a tv show a few years ago, pretend points if you remember which one! (doctor show is my hint)
The song really has nothing to do with the random things I might say but it’s now running rampant through my head so I thought I’d see if I could transfer it to yours!
1. Some sickness stuff hit me out of the blue the other night… felt like sinus/cold stuff for most of the day but by late afternoon I was knocked down with a headache that would not go away. I slept for about 12 hours and then it seemed to be gone. The sinusy stuff is still with me…. I felt kind of like I was in a fog yesterday but at least I could get up and move around with no headache. I think maybe a migraine?
2. The new baby is coming soon! My DIL will be induced in about a week or so if baby hasn’t made his appearance. I need to work on some burp cloths for her plus for 2 other people I know with babies coming soon after. Those need to be done if I’m going to go visit in TX! I did get everything washed yesterday so maybe I can start on them today.
3. I was surprised and a little sad to see Michael go on Idol… but thrilled that they sang shout to the Lord again, with all the correct words this time! How amazing.
4. Stacy told me that The Memory Keeper’s Daughter comes on lifetime as a tv movie this Saturday….if anyone read the book, you might be interested in the movie. I gotta set my dvr.
5. Got any new songs you want to put in my head?
* Uh oh, my cable AND internet is out! So maybe I won’t get this posted after all.
* I’m back after a long delay; they said they’d send someone to fix it. No one has showed up but it’s working for the moment! I think it might be a sign that I need to get busy with other things.
I did get the kitchen cleaned up and few other things done while everything was off … now I need to be off to the machine and some other cleaning!
Have a great Friday!

I didn’t know that about Memory Keeper’s Daughter. I’ll have to see if it comes on anywhere for us.

Sorry you’re not feeling well. We’ve that nasty head cold working it’s way through our house. The only one who hasn’t had it is my hubby and he takes zinc as soon as he feels any kind of a tickle in his throat or any symptom and the guy just never gets sick anymore. Unfortunately, zinc makes my stomach feel sick.

Wow – the baby will be here in 1 week! That’s exciting! We are down to 8 weeks now.
Thanks for noting that about the Memory Keeper’s Daughter – I’ll be sure to set my dvr. I read the book – it was interesting. I usually like the books better than the movies so we will have to see if that stands true this time too.
I’ve been dealing with a cold for several weeks now. It leaves and comes back, leaves and comes back. Very frustrating.

    Oh, and I forgot….
I was surprised to see Michael go too. I predicted he would be in the bottom three but I never thought he would be the one to go. I think he had more talent than Seyesha.

  4. Stacy Says:

Hope you’re feeling better now. Sounds like a migraine to me. I can tell if I have one, I can’t tolerate light or noise.

I hated to see Michael go too… I think it was much too soon for him to go. Still pulling for David Cook 🙂

Thanks for the tip about the movie. I hope you are feeling better now, and I know you are excited about the baby! I look forward to seeing pictures!

    I know I know! It’s E.R.
I remember hearing it on ER when Mark was dying of cancer… right?

  7. Karen Says:

Oooh, yeah, Annie is right. I love that rendition of the song, too. And Dr. Greene was my favorite on that show.

  8. Becky Says:

Yep, it was ER when Dr Greene died. Oh, heartache of heartaches!!

  9. Becky Says:

I hope you feel better. I have had a headache for 2 days. Not a bad one, not a migraine. But I am curious what is causing it. I am cutting out my dairy for a couple of days to see if that helps. They seem to spike after eating cheese. ???Can that be???

  10. Debi Says:

Oh Gail, I do hope you’re feeling better now! A new grandbaby can surely cure all that ails one though, huh? I can’t believe the day is so close now!

  11. Tammy Says:

I don’t watch AI but have heard that rendition…and saw a video of it this morning on another blog. Love it!

I also wanted to say a big thank you for being SO patient about the movie you won…I should have mailed it yesterday but was feeling under the weather, so it’s going out Monday morning, sharp!Again, sorry you have had to wait!

OK…I have Part 2 of our road trip posted! Come over and take a peek when you can! 😀
