That would be me, in case you can hear me! I’ve been having to check every day to see about reporting to jury duty and the notice this weekend said that we were excused and didn’t have to report again. Now I can actually plan something for the rest of the month! I think that’s what I dislike about it the most is never knowing when I’d have to go during the month until maybe the night before. At least when I get called locally for duty in my town I know it’s only for one week, never the month. So I might just have to plan a trip or shopping expedition for something fun to do. 😉
I’ve been sewing a bit over the weekend….I appreciate all the ideas I got for that sticky velcro! I think I’ll keep it because we just might find some uses for it after all. Sunday is always a full day for us with church, other meetings and activities, so I’ll be back on Monday I think.

Whew, I know you’re glad to have that off your back! It is a pain to have to call every.single.day. I’ve done it twice with federal so far. I never lucked out and got excused early in the month though! 🙂

Yippee for being released! Our local jury duty is only for the day. You go in on Monday & they keep everyone there until all juries are selected. Then you eitehr report back the day of the case you were selected for or you’re done & released.

Wow, that must be an enormous relief! I didn’t even know federal jury duty worked that way…tying you up for a whole month…what a royal pain!

A whole month is a long time. I’m glad you got off early.
This weekend, my mom, Scamp, and I went shopping for Scamp a flower girl dress. She’s is one of my friends weddings, and we’re trying to find a deal. Last week, when Scamp and I went alone, she was so excited because she thought she was a fairly princess. I couldn’t believe she let me change her three times.

Your mother never liked jury duty either, and did get called to federal once herself.
I didn’t do anything fun this weekend, except stay inside where it was warm, and take naps on the couch, which I love to do.
I am also reading The Secret……..and the Kite Runner. Watched an HBO movie Sat. night.

We went to church over the weekend and the library. I got some good cookbooks there. It was a pretty laid back weekend. I’m glad jury duty is over…
