It started off good, the sun was shining this morning and it wasn’t freezing cold! But the clouds are rolling back so I don’t think I can trust this weather; it looks like we’re gonna get more rain today and tomorrow, ugh.
We had church last night so had to tivo the Super Bowl but we did have fun watching the recording! I have lots of leftover food at the moment so I’m not going to plan any meals right now, just hopefully use up what’s here. And I have federal jury duty starting tomorrow so I have no idea what my days will be like for the rest of the week, or possibly month since my summons said it was for the month! I should know more after tomorrow.
Just got through fixing a dish to carry to church; our elderly friend that had the stroke passed away and our church usually feeds the family for a noon meal. I need to change clothes and get going for the service in a bit and take some things to the church secretary for hubby.
Here’s something else I can’t trust……..

I should have sent those home with some friends last night after the game because they are screaming my name and wanting me to eat them so bad! I hate to throw them out, I wonder if they’ll freeze? Because I’ll be wearing them on my hips otherwise. Maybe Don will eat them for supper. 😆
Hope your Monday is a good one!

Yummy!!! They look sooooo good! I’m sittin here drinking a Coke and eating a Strawberry Cream Heart, LOL … what’s a few more sweets?? Enjoy your evening!

Well, you need to just bring me those chocolate things. We bought some cookies and nothing else, thinking people would be full from all the football food and not be looking for much dessert. I made a pot of coffee and a few minutes later, I looked at the cookie tray – all gone but 3 oatmeal cookies! All of the chocolate and white chocolate macadamia ones were GONE. Boo-hoo. You should definitely come share these with ME!

Hope jury duty goes well… let me know 🙂

Oh, yum! I know the Oreo balls will freeze (if that’s what they are), and I think my mom freezes those cookies as well. Those are two of my favorites!

Good luck with jury duty! I hope it goes smoothly!

You can always send them over here to Atlanta. I’m sure we can help you out with them!

  5. Sandra Says:

Send them my way, I’ll gladly eat them and worry about the hips later LOL

    The game was AWESOME…..!

Those look so good Gail, I may lick the screen!

I would be happy to take those off your hands for you. Maybe they can be your snack at jury duty. A month. That is crazy. I would never be able to afford that kind of time off from work, living alone!

Those peanut butter cup cookies are to die for. Better keep them over there. I’ll be interested to hear how it goes for you with jury duty. I’ve only been “chosen” once and couldn’t do it because we had a vacation planned. I was so disappointed!

Are those Oreo Truffles? Your sweets look good. I know what you mean on the sweets on our hips. I have some chocolate topped toffee sitting in here and brownies…aghhhhhh.
I’m on the committee at church to bring or serve at a funeral meal…I feel it very comforting for myself to help out in these situations….we skipped church Sunday night first time this year. I felt bad but Scott really wanted to go to a Super Bowl Party so we did. I’m planning my menu now….have fun in Jury Duty…doesnt seem really all that fun.

Oh, I think it is your duty as a blogger AND a Southerner to share the recipe for those things on the bottom. The ones on top look good, too, but I’m drooling over the bottom ones. 😉

They look so tempting. I just finished off the rest of the Oreo dirt cake I made last week.

Nooooooooo! Will you save me some for when this gestational diabetes is over and I can eat some?

BTW, I am having a boy!

    MMMMmm! Those do look good!

They look very good. Being on a diet, the pictures make me salivate!

Sorry to hear of the passing of this man. I pray the family is blessed through all you do for them.
