I’ve seen several of you do this love/hate meme floating around but instead of doing it, I’ll just tell you the new thing I’m most in love with at the moment! Last month hubby got tivo* for our tvs! I think ours might technically be called dvr but I think it works the same and I’m just saying, where WERE you all my life DVR! 😉 I couldn’t quite wrap my head around the fact that I could pause and rewind live tv until hubby or someone told me the thing is always recording…I’m not very techie you know. No more fooling with vcr tapes or trying to find one when I want to record something. I do record things quite often because commercials, they are a waste of my time! Did you know that you can watch a 1 hour show in about 40 minutes? I don’t want to spend almost 20 minutes on commercials for some show I might want to watch.
A whole lot of nothingness for today but I’m loving the dvr!

You are so right. I love my DVR, I NEVER watch live TV anymore, and can NOT imagine life without it!

I am with you! I love it, especially with kids. I can tape their favorite shows daily, and we can watch them at 1:47, 3:25, 6:42, or whenever we want! It’s wonderful!

Most definitely! We love ours too. Tim and I keep remarking to each other, something to the effect of, why on EARTH did we wait so long to get one of these? There’s definitely no going back. It’s like going from dial-up to high speed Internet. I can’t imagine having to use a VCR now and not being able to do all the wonderful things we can now do with our DVR.

I agree – it’s the only way to watch tv! I’m especially excited about it because LOST starts next week – it’s two hour season opener – who want commercials?

We love ours too. When I was first introduced to the Tivo…..I fell instantly in love….head first….if only I could explain it to my mother. They don’t have it.

I agree with you! We call it PVR up here and now that I have it I don’t think I want to live without it. I love the fact I don’t have to sit through commercials or that I’m not tied to watching something when they air it. Love it.
