My time in Charlotte is soon coming to an end and I’m ready to be home! Hubby is flying in on Thursday morning early, will go get new tires for my suburban so I won’t have any more blowouts on my car. He’s anxious to see new baby Sam and after he gets his visit in we’ll be driving home together. I’m ready to get back to my routine…..not that this one is bad at all! Some things are the same: I’ve cooked, cleaned, done laundry, vacuumed, grocery shopped, etc. I’ve also taken Katelyn to the park to play, taken her on errands with me, read books and played with toys. But I’ve really learned a lot about Diego and Dora the explorer….she is so enthralled with them, especially Diego. I’ve watched Diego almost every day for 2 weeks, learned lots of new animals and Spanish words and the words to most of the songs! And did you know that Diego is on almost EVERYTHING in Walmart and Target. Not only toys and books but he’s on yogurt containers, cans of veggies and fruits, juice containers, diapers, wipes…..you can probably find him on almost every aisle, or at least Katelyn can spot him easily. 😆 Then for the whole time we’re in the store mostly what I hear is, “Diego, Diego, Diego!” It’s been so much fun though and I know I’ll miss them all when I’m back home.
Kathryn and I also worked on a couple of sewing projects…..I made the cutest Halloween costume for Katelyn! I can’t wait to show it to you but I’ll probably have to wait until I’m home so I can size the pictures down. And then I’ll have more baby pics too. Hopefully by the weekend I’ll be sleeping in my own bed, trying to get back in the swing of things again! I’m missing you all and want to catch up with you too.

Oh, I cannot wait to see more pics of the little (well, not-so-little) guy! And Katelyn’s Halloween costume…you didn’t even give us a hint as to what it is!

I know Diego well too :)!
Can’t wait to see the costume… maybe it will inspire me. I think Izzy is going to be a cowgirl. I ordered pink cowgirl boots from childrens place and she has a pink cowgirl hat. I am thinking of making a vest and skirt for her to go with them and let her wear braids… maybe freckles painted on for effect? I like her to be relatively comfortable in her costume, last year she was a 50’s girl with a poodle skirt and saddle shoes.

I know in some ways it will be hard to leave. I rememaber crying like my new baby when mama left me after helping out for a week or so. But … that bed, those familiar things, your own routine. Those are easy to miss.

Glad you can leave knowing that Kathryn is ok and baby Sam is in the best of hands.

Can’t wait to see more pics.

I need Katelyn to give me a crash course in Diego and Dora, so I can spot them in Walmart. They’re foreign to me 🙂

Tim wrote you a special program to use there, so you can size down your photos and post. He worked on it all one night and emailed you. Did you not get the instructions?

Can’t wait to see her Halloween costume 🙂

Have a safe trip home! No blowouts this time 🙂

Oh goodie – I’ve been looking forward to pictures! How fun that you have spent so much time with your granddaughter – you have been busy making very special memories. I always LOVED when my mom came and took care of us when I had babies. She didn’t come with the third one and that’s the only time I experienced post-partum blues. They are still very precious memories today.

Can’t wait for the pictures! He is such a cutie. And I was so jealous to see how fabulous your daughter looked 2 seconds after birth. I looked like total crap! 🙂

I can’t wait to see more baby pics and the Halloween costume. I am laughing about Diego sightings. I hadn’t thought of it, but he and Dora are on a lot of things!

It’ll be good to have you back posting more often, and I can’t wait to see more pictures of that boy! I’m just now learning a little about Diego and Dora…apparently even my eight month old nephew likes them. 😉

All your kids will be speaking Spanish before High School……we all need to learn!
Anyway, travel safe. Tell Kat hello.

Sounds like youa re ahving a great trip – I bet it will seem so quiet when you get home! Although I am sure you can find Dora and Diego on TV at home – I know you’ll be watching in secret ;)!
