Last week Robin awarded me this nice reflection award at her place, found toward the end of this post. She is very sweet to do this and said some nice things! I really should be the one to give her this instead because she’s someone who inspires me……she’s very creative in her sewing and I always enjoy reading about that, she’s a minister’s wife, is very encouraging and I’m glad to have found her blog.
I think I’m supposed to pass it along to more people than I’m going to today, I’ve seen this one floating around for a bit and have no idea who’s received it before!

I had the very great privilege of meeting Jenny recently as I passed through her town. She is just as sweet or sweeter in person as she is on her blog! She homeschools her children, loves the Bulldogs, basketball and coaching her teams. She is serving God in that way and looks for what the Lord is teaching her through all that.
If you don’t know Annie be sure to pop by and read her blog and you’ll receive a blessing! She started her blog to help share her experiences as she went through a near drowning accident with her youngest daughter Izzy. She’s found a commnuity of Christian sisters but blesses us all with her faith and honesty in sharing her life.
Another fairly new to me blogger is Becky, another minister’s wife and she lives in Florida. She also sews and I love to see what she’s been up to with that. She lives with all men/boys and rolls right along with them and whatever they’re doing! I’m not sure I could live in an all male household! She just retired from teaching and I’m glad she has more time for blogging now, she’s very sweet to email me if I have questions or share her ideas, advice and recipes.

I think that for today……..

that’s all I’m going to think of to pass this along to! I could literally do this for everyone I read, I LOVE all the blogs I read and comment on and each of you have something so sweet to offer; I think that’s one of the things I love so much about this is that it’s opened me up to meeting other people with different things to share with us.

If you want something else to “reflect” on today……..Jenny also tagged me last week, to give advice on blogging and passing it along! Ha, I know SO little about this stuff, especially all the technical aspects of it that I feel very inadequate to pass along advice. Here the list, you’re supposed to copy the whole list and add yours to the end. This one is getting so long that I don’t think I can add much more to it.
1. Look, read, and learn. neonscent
2. Be, EXCELLENT to each other. bushmackel
3. Don’t let money change ya! therandomforest
4. Always reply to your comments. chattiekat
5. Link liberally — it keeps you and your friends afloat in the Sea of Technorati. chipsquips
6. Don’t give up – persistence is fertile. velcro-city
7. Give link credit where credit is due. sfsignal
8. Pictures say a thousand words and can usually add to any post. scifichick
9. Visit all the bloggers that leave comments for you – it’s nice to know who is reading! stephaniesbooks
10. Make a blogger template unique: change the background colour, or add a background picture to your header. chris-book-a-rama
11. Write positively even if the situation is seemingly negative — spread joy and not gloom. You can do it! aliceteh
12. When you find something that interests you, write about it. Sharing yourself with others is one of the best things about blogging. jhthomas
13. Start draft posts to capture ideas for future posts, so you don’t lose track of them. charmindelightful
14. Be helpful to new bloggers. Remember when you first started blogging and didn’t know how to post a link? Or was that just me? islandlife
15. If you have a question about blogging, don’t be shy, go ahead and ask. There are so many bloggers happy to give you help if you need it. arewethereyetmom
16. Remember that blogging is a community – don’t be afraid to comment on the blogs you read. Reach out and make new friends, you’ll be glad you did! debmomof3
17. Try to blog daily, this is the only way to build up a “cyber following mylifeasmamajodi
18. Check that box on your profile so your bloggy buddies can reply by email to your comments, it makes life so much easier… and by all means PLEASE make your profile public so when you click on your name it doesn’t say profile not available. There’s no way to reply to you or visit you when you aren’t public! Annie
19. Be real. Perfection is not approachable, and people will quit trying after awhile. Sure, there are some situations where giving specifics is totally uncalled for, and you don’t have to be negative. You really AREN’T the only one to experience what you’re going through. Let your friends offer words of encouragement. Jenny
20. Find a sister (like Stacy!) or a friend that you can ask to get help from! I don’t have much to add other than what’s been said, just keep at it, share yourself and enjoy the journey!

Here’s the post that Jenny did on the blogging advice.
If you’re new to blogging maybe some of these can be helpful to you; I’m still learning as I go!
