A few weeks ago we went to Alabama one weekend to help our daughter move, she’s still in school there and had to move from one house to a different one with a new roommate. The new house is just a bit smaller but it is very new and a nice place. As I said at the time, we had to bring some things home to store for her here this year……..boxes of kitchen stuff, quite a few framed pictures and maybe a few more random things I can’t think of right now. But I also mentioned that there was one big thing we brought back, the one I’m quite happy to keep this year! Wanna know what it is?

It’s her coffee table! And would you believe, I’ve never had one since we’ve been married. I’ve begged and pleaded and asked and even shopped for them but D has never really wanted one, silly silly boy. Liz told me several times she didn’t think it would go in my room, but I think it’s because she knows she might be in danger of not getting it back! I’m happy to be babysitting this table this year; I’m already enjoying it and probably will have a hard time letting go of it. I should have told her to let me “babysit” whatever she had on top of it! Because now I might have to go buy something, got any ideas?

You got to know when to hold ’em, know when to fold ’em

I am not the person to ask for decorating ideas…I can do the furniture, but the accessories are beyond me! Love the table!

Oh, on the contrary, I think it looks like just the thing. We went 23 years of marriage with no coffee table. Where did we put our feet?? I know, yours is not made for feet. But our coffee table is tile. Perfect for 4 guys in a house. And a mom/wife who hates to dust.

Lovely table. I didn’t have one for years either, because hubby didn’t want one. Now that I finally talked him into one I’ll never let mine go.

(Yeah, Kenny!) Beautiful table! If it were at my house, it would have drink cups, newspapers, snack wrappers and feet on it. I wouldn’t recommend you follow my decorating style:( I can see a nice, tall candle holder and candle on it, with some books.

You better be using coasters on it!! I better not see any ring marks on it next year.

I love the table….you know we used to have one before kids and then they came along and we got rid of it because it became their jungle gym…..many a heads were bonked on that table too LOL

Very nice table. I couldn’t be without mine. But I especially like the rug underneath the table – that’s beautiful!!
