Our vacation bible school theme this year is sports related, Game Day Central is the official name I think. People were decorating like crazy all last week and I spent all day Friday doing our room with friends, then again for about 3+ hours on Sunday. VBS started yesterday and we’ll end on Friday; it’s only Tuesday morning and I’m tired already! On my way out the door but thought I’d post some pics of our decorating efforts.
Click through on the extended page for them:

It actually took quite some time to make the lockers!

I didn’t get the other corner pictured but we have some “coaches” chairs, jerseys, caps etc. in the last spot.
It’s being a rather hectic week and I haven’t had much time to visit but hope to get around later on to see you guys!

That looks SOOO cute! My kids won’t get to go to any VBS this year, due to the timing of Aaron’s extended school year classes. But, they are able to do storytime at the library in the evenings!

This looks great! Hats off to you and all the volunteers for VBS. I know how much work it can be, but the kids LOVE it!~

Wow that looks great and it looks like so much fun! HOpe you guys have a great week. Our VBS is next week and I wish so bad I could be a part of it, but oh well I love to listen to the kids talk about their week!

P.S. by the way, I loved David Baldacci’s book. I would absolutely recommend it. My favorite book so far is the one I reviewd today — I use that term loosely because I’m not a great book reveiwer, just know what I like. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea. Check out the reviews on Amazon — they do a MUCH better job!

Hope the week is fun and you’re not totally wiped out by Friday!

That looks terrific, Gail! Those lockers are the neatest things… the kids will love it!

I have some good memories from VBS when I was a kid, but I’m sure our church didn’t go all out like this back then. I sure loved all the crafty things we did though.

I love your faux lockers. The whole place looks so great. Y’all went to some trouble for those kiddos and it shows.

Gail thank you SO much for your advice for bible study. You are not the first who has given me a bit of a mixed opnion on Conversation Peace. And you are right, Beth is the best. But she is not the only one either as you know. So we are expanding. I’ll stick with it and keep looking. Thanks again.

That is awesome, Gail! 😀 Love the lockers! That is wonderful of you to volunteer!

My girls go to VBS every year, too…this year is at a new one to us- they are not that enthused about the “space” theme, being quite girlie girls, but I know they will still have fun!
