Last month I participated in a contest over at Amy’s and won a little book out of the deal! She told me it would be a Lori Wick book and I was excited about that since I’ve read several Wick books before. I got it in the mail recently and I’m looking forward to reading, then sharing it.
Don’t know if you can tell how thick it is from this shot but it’s like 700 pages long! That is a bit bigger than I normally read but it should be fun. She’s having a new contest during the month of May, a scavenger hunt. So hop on over to her place to check it out and you just might win something too!

It must be a sickness y’all, a sickness! I already had these at my house to be read, in my spare time I suppose!
So I guess I must have been thinking to myself, “A 700 page book and a stack of like 13 books to be read MIGHT not be enough….I must get more books”. The last time I was at Stacy’s house I brought this home with me!
Crazy! I must be losing my mind………or going out of my head or something!
(I think I’m going to the library today to return some books, one I haven’t read. 😳 I MUST. NOT. get any more books! It might be safer to put them in the drop box instead of going in.)

I love, love big 700 page books. If it’s a good book, then the longer, the better because I hate it when they end. And if it’s a disease, then I’m infected too. You should see my bookshelf. Ridiculous. I have absolutely got to get it organized. Waaay too many books waiting to be read but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

You don’t want to see my place – bookshelves overflowing. It’s crazy! And I’ve read this book – Pretense. It was really good. Hope you enjoy!

Hey, I bet I recognize a lot of those books, you have them turned around where I can’t see all of the spines! I like that you borrow books from my bookshelves. It creates empty spaces that I feel compelled to fill. The only problem is when you bring them back, then I’ve filled the empty spots and don’t have room for them 🙁
Let me know how you like Pretense! Like you, I have trouble with books that long. My limit seems to be about 350-400 pages. Anything longer than that and I start breaking out in hives. 🙂
P.S. Use the drop box. It’s safer. I ran into the library the other day to pick up one book from the reserve list. Just one. I walked out with FOUR.

I like Lori Wick, too…
And I’m reading the first Mitford book for the first time…but had no idea it was going to be so thick! 🙂
And…I’m reading another one at the same time! When will the madness stop…heehee

“with you, with you” I think! I haven’t read any books recently. Maybe I’ll pick one up to read during study breaks for the step 1.

700 pages is huge! You’ll get carpal tunnel syndrome from holding it. I can’t wait to hear what you think about it. I see you got the Valentine books up. I love her stuff!
