“Oh What a Beautiful Day”………….It’s just wonderful outside here today! The sun is shining, birds are chirping and not too much wind. That is what I usually don’t like much about March here, way too windy. I got the urge to putter around outside so here’s a few pictures.

I have two forsythia bushes that are blooming

Filled my bird feeder with sunflower seeds

And last week I bought a suet feeder, but no birds have come to it and I’m not sure how to get them to….any clues? Stacy told me to put it close to this other feeder, which I’d already done; now I’m wondering if I should move it to a totally different tree. I wanted to buy another feeder today with new seed but I resisted! Ooh and now I see that one of the cats was waiting in the background to see if he could find a bird; he’s committed bird murder a time or 2 and I don’t like it!

So instead of buying a bird feeder I bought pansies to put in 2 outside pots….maybe it’s too late to do them but they were just now showing up in the store here so I got some since I was in the mood for something in the yard! Really I have tons of bushes that need cutting but I’m not into that much work!

Think I’ll walk to the library to see if I can find some more books to read……..I only have about 5 here in my pile to start on but somehow I just always think I need more!
Hope it’s a beautiful day where you are!

It is a beautiful day here, too! I got the pleasure of painting shutters today! I love to paint, but oh they’re so tedious. I only got one coat on two shutters because I was painting while the baby was napping and hubby is working on the bathroom! But, I enjoyed being outside (even if my hands did freeze)! 🙂 Have a great week! Did I tell you I got the book? I started it, but I have to put a hold on it until I get my painting done! Thanks so much!

Hey Gail! I love the pansies. I cannot wait to start doing spring flowers. I think I will wait until after Easter. I haven’t emailed Stacy yet, but I will love to send you two my Brunstetter books so that both of you can read them. I’ve read all the Amish ones now except “The Hope Chest.” There are two different series and I have absolutely loved them all. Stacy said she got two at Sam’s so I will get with her and see which ones you all will need.

    Have a great evening.

I wish I cared that much about my yard. 🙂

Ooh, great pictures! That forsythia looks wonderful. Mine is just fake and I love it so. Great shot of the bird feeder, love the light surrounding it 🙂 The pansies look good, and they’ll do fine for a month or two before the heat makes them wilt.

As for the suet feeder, just give it time. If you remember, it took nearly 3 months for the squirrels to find their corn feeder, and I think it took several weeks for the small birds to find my suet feeder. I see some on it every day, but the pack of suet in mine has been in there a while. Just sit back and enjoy watching for them 🙂

P.S. Did you find a bunch of good books at the library?!

You are really getting into Spring huh? I can’t wait for it. I am looking forward to working in my yard.

“I’ve got a beautiful feeling, everything’s goin’ my way.” Fun musical. I actually saw Oklahoma at an outside theater in Okalahoma. It was fun. We have had beautiful weather these past few days. Now that February is gone…spring (as long as it’s really spring!) can come.

Loved the pictures! 🙂 We had spring-like weather the past four days, too…but the rest of the week is our usual rain. Still, I’m grateful for the sunny skies we had….it felt so good to be outside! 🙂
