Lots of little things rolling around in my head but nothing I can really get into to write about; lots of jumbled up thoughts with no direction! So this post will take many different turns……ever have days like that?
It’s been raining again and I think that makes me feel dreary sometimes and at loose ends, but I’m not sure why.

  • We are going out to eat tonight with our Sunday school class so I don’t have to cook and it should be a fun time.
  • Had 2 meetings yesterday about 2 different functions/parties I’m to help with and feel that I’ve gotten in over my head on one and not sure how it all came about or what to do about it now! One small encouraging thing might be in the works but I need to pray about it and would love any other prayers for me on that. Sorry, pretty vague I know! (This might be what has me at loose ends)
  • 24 was fairly intense last night! There were parts I just couldn’t watch.
  • I finally got myself a Sonic sweetheart blast yesterday (yeah, this is the important stuff of life I tell ya!) It was pretty good but not what I expected…..I think I miss the brownie they used to put in it. I’m sure your day is complete now that you know that!
  • Does anyone know if there is a good brand/kind of decaf coffee to buy? Or will you just tell me that there is no such thing! I know, don’t hate me because I’m not a purist…..I’m more addicted to the warmth, flavored creamers, & sugar than the actual coffee itself and I just do so much better with less caffeine. I feel better and sleep better. So if there is such a thing as a good decaf, please enlighten me.
  • I can’t get motivated to do anything around my house! So much I should be doing, cleaning etc. but can’t seem to get in gear to do any of it. I can’t even get into reading today; just sort of wandering around aimlessly. Ever have days like that?
  • We’ve rented/seen several pretty good movies in the last few weeks, a few that weren’t so good too.
The Illusionist and Invincible, good rentals. Catch a Fire, based on a true story and I think some parts they might have taken some creative liberty with but fairly interesting. Slow at times but I think it was to develop the characters some so you’d care about them.
Little Miss Sunshine, rough language, about a pretty dysfunctional family, fairly funny and was fairly pleased by the end of it.
The Guardian, ok rental I think; I thought it could have ended a couple of times before it did but D said he knew there was more coming. One thing I was unprepared for and didn’t know about but won’t say what it was.
I’ll update if I remember what the other movies were!

Sometimes it helps to just blog the random thoughts bumping around in your brain.

Invincible was a great movie. I’ll have to check out some of your other recommendations.

If you’re not a coffee snob, Eight O’Clock bean has a pretty decent decaf as well as a half and half blend. If you’re a snob (like me!), check out prestogeorge.com – they make a nice decaf. I’m into their JP Hearty Blend decaf, but I like a fuller bodied coffee.

Will keep you in my prayers re: your commitment. I hate when something eats at me like that and I have several little work issues doing just that right now.

I’m having the same type of day today. I just can’t seem to get focused on anything.

For decaf coffee, we drink Gevalia (gevalia.com). When you “join” they’ll send you a free coffeepot and you can cancel at any time, no questions asked. I can’t tell you how many coffeepots we have!

Wow, good post (but remind me to teach you how to do bullets!) 🙂

Sorry you’re at loose ends, I think it’s the weather. A seasonal thing, and I get it too.

I told you the blast was good but not as good as before. I miss the brownie and I miss the cherry on top from the previous incarnation of that drink at Sonic. Why on earth do they have to keep changing things? As soon as I find something I like, they change it!

24 was good, which part couldn’t you watch? I can usually see it coming and throw my hand up, or a couch pillow 🙂

No help on the coffee, you know me, don’t drink decaf at home. I just drink it in the AM, none in the PM. I should give you more of this biscotti to go with your coffee!

Good movie choices, we have a couple of those on our list. Good reviews!!!

Bummer on the party committments. Don’t sweat it though, it is all going to work out. You don’t have to take the lead on these, do you?

Oh, and on the project stuff, I’m finding that if I post something at my blog, it makes me more accountable. Try that, take a picture and say “I need to do this” and then get motivated to do it so you can come back and post a picture of it all completed! Like you did with your recipe notebook. I still haven’t even gotten CLOSE to attempting that one. I’ve got a couple of other smaller ones I’m working on.

      🙂

Maybe I figured it out from what you told me Stacy! Did I?

I know what you’re talking about with regard to The Guardian. I HATED the ending of that movie but I did like the movie in general. I was looking at your sidebar – I’ve read all three of the books in your “next up” category. Of course, I’m re-reading the entire Mitford series right now – finished A New Song last weekend. And Dorothea Benton Frank is one of my very favorite authors – I’ve read Sullivan’s Island more than once. 🙂

I know what you mean about the way you are feeling. I feel like that a lot. I figured it was just me! I will be praying for ya!

    7. Stacy Says:

      You are in my prayers!!!

    8. Claire Says:

If you’re into flavored coffee, i’m pretty sure that Folgers has decaff Hazelnut. that should be good. I know what you mean about 24 last night…I covered my eyes when the drill came out! I’ll be praying for clear direction on your opportunity, for sure!

    9. Gail Says:

The drill, yes Claire that was it! Yikes!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the prayers a lot!

Sometimes, are lives are so full that we can’t help but have a lot of different thoughts all at the same time! 🙂
As for coffee, I only drink strong, good northwest beans – but do take it with lots of cream and sugar! 🙂

      A Happy Valentine’s Day, Gail!

    11. Nancy Carson Says:

Thanks for the info on the movies. I always have a hard time deciding what to watch without a preview from someone.I hope you have a Happy Valentines Day!

    12. Eden Says:

Hi Gail! Happy Valentine’s Day! Hope you are having a better day than yesterday! I’ve seen most of the movies you mentioned. I agree with you on them.

Hope to hear from you soon.
