I almost forgot that I got tagged last week by Dawn for this little book tag. Easy one to do and good for me since I’m not feeling very creative at the moment!

Here are the rules/requirements:
1. Grab the book closest to you.
2. Open to page 123, go down to the fourth sentence.
3. Post the text of the following 3 sentences on your blog.
4. Name of the author and book.
5. Tag three people of your own.

I’ll use the book I’m currently reading. I went to the appropriate spot on pg. 123 and here are the sentences:

“How often did he feel as if he didn’t have a care in the world; not often. He’d been equipped, after all, with a nature that could run to the melancholy if he didn’t watch it. “Serious-minded!” a neighbor had said of him as a child, putting on his glasses to get a better look at the tyke who stood before him with a large book under his skinny arm.”

That passage is from “Out to Canaan” by Jan Karon, the 4th book in the Mitford Series.

I hope a lot of you will do this one, but only like 5 people usually read this! Feel free to post it here in comments or on your blog and let me know you did it! If I need to tag someone specific, I’ll tag:
Dianne
Susanne
Eden
I think all of them read a good bit or have recently mentioned books on their blogs! No problems if you don’t do it!

Yeah, glad you played along! I love those books 🙂 I miss Father Tim and hope she writes her new ones soon.

BTW, if you’re currently reading “Out to Canaan”, you need to send me your info so I can update your sidebar! It shows you’re currently reading “Christmas Letters”, which you must have finished!

    🙂

  2. Susanne Says:

I’ll do it tomorrow or Tuesday! I’ve never read “Out to Canaan”. I think when I was a teen I read one of the Mitford books but can no longer remember which one.

  3. Eden Says:

Hi Gail. I just completed the tag. Check it out.

  4. Dawn Says:

    yay! you played! =)

  5. Gail Says:
