I woke up one morning earlier this week with a really, really bad headache so I knew I’d have to take some Tylenol to make it through the day. What I keep in the house though is generic acetaminophen, made by the company that had the recall recently. Stacy had sent me a link to check my bottles to see if the numbers matched with the recall list but I never could make the website come up when the recall first happened. Then she and another person emailed me the list with all the recalled numbers but I still never checked my bottles; too busy getting ready for Thanksgiving! I did try to buy new Tylenol before Thanksgiving but there were no bottles of anything on the shelf a week or so ago. I did remember to check the list when my head was splitting open and of course, you guessed it, every bottle in my house had a number on it that matched one on the recall list. I ran right out to get a new bottle and the clerks were stocking the shelves when I was there so they must be just now getting Tylenol & acetaminophen back in. There is a number to call on the website…… I called and found out that they will take your name & address, send you a mailer for you to send the bottle back to them and then they will write you a refund check. I had already thrown one of my bottles out and didn’t feel like digging to find it but still have one so I’ll be mailing that one back in. I really didn’t realize that they would do this, and I may not get a refund but I guess there is nothing to lose by trying. In case any of you have bottles of acetaminophen that are on the recall list, be sure to call and give them your address so you can get refunded for it. Just a little public service announcement for you.
If you have any questions let me know; don’t call me tonight, call me in the morning!
(or email )

My goodness, I hope you are feeling better. I had not even heard of this recall, so thanks for letting me know.

Well, that’s cool that they will send you a mailer envelope and then a refund. I actually thought maybe you could take it back to the store you got it from, but this is just as good and probably easier. Less hassle.

Hope your head is feeling better now. I had a bad headache a couple of weeks ago and took acetaminophen, but it didn’t work, so I took 2 ibuprofen and it went away after that. So, maybe get a small bottle of ibuprofen to, to switch it up. 🙂

    Thanks for the PSA! 🙂
