The latter part of this week has been fall break for E……I think she needed it, to catch up on some school work, reading, and of course sleeping! I think the massive amount of reading has her the most bogged down. We have done a few things around here and some errands. We also have eaten lunch out a few times since she’s been here too! For me that needs to stop now. 😆 Also decided to have her a small birthday celebration since we won’t see her next week. I made chicken spaghetti, veggie and bread for dinner (her request) and a birthday cake……..seemed like it took me ALL day to do it! She always wants strawberry cake of some sort; her favorite. I tried a new recipe this year and the cake was good but the frosting didn’t turn out like I hoped. It didn’t stop us from eating it though, along with a little bit of ice cream. I bought a really small container so we wouldn’t be tempted to eat a whole half gallon after she leaves. Soooo, it’s not pretty but it still tasted good! I hope she takes the rest of it far, far away from here!
She was happy about her gifts too I think………she can get some clothes for school now and has a bag to carry that isn’t a book bag. Got another one today from Grandma and might get something else from friends next week…..maybe that’s the way to go, spread it all out!

Glad she’s having a good break, and an early birthday celebration. Happy Birthday Elizabeth!!! Love that bag, VERY cute! Have fun shopping, I know I have been lately, hehehe 🙂

Michelle, I tend to use song titles/lyrics a good bit and it doesn’t always go exactly with the post but I love music and have sorta gotten hooked on using it for posts! Bad habit I suppose.

Okay, I know this song but not all the words. The title is something about a park maybe…don’t know! Okay, I DON’T have fall break this weekend. In fact, I have my tests next week…so I’m going back to studying now! 🙂

Claire is just about right on the song! MacArthur Park; Donna Summer did it in the 80’s I think.
