On Saturday we helped Elizabeth move to Tuscaloosa where she will start grad school in a few weeks. She’ll actually be back home in a few days to finish up some things here and to go on vacation with us! She put all her things in a storage locker last month so we had to drive to Clinton first, with a borrowed trailer, load up there and then drive to Alabama. I told her when she moves again, she’d have to rent something bigger because we almost didn’t get everything in!

Don & Chris, with some help from David, pulled everything out of the locker and tried to decide the best way to fit it all in……….it was sort of like putting a puzzle together I think!

I think they also took some things out of the trailer and reloaded it a time or two!
Hmmm, will it all fit!

The open locker behind Elizabeth is where she had stored all her things…….she got to where she said she couldn’t look at what they were doing because she was worried about what they might do to her bed! She is watching over it here and keeping her eyes shut so she won’t freak out when they bump something!
Her car was full, our truck and Chris’s truck………we did have some stuff in the pickup beds as well as the back seats but we had gotten a weather report and it was supposed to rain so we didn’t put as much in the back of the trucks as we might have. And then they wrapped some of those things in plastic……Chris said when we got there that it was a good thing we did that since we ran into NO rain on the way over! But after we got everything unloaded, it did pour rain for a little while and the power went off! We made a Walmart and Target run while the air was off……….Elizabeth was a happy camper to know that those 2 stores are available to her! One of her roommates has already moved in, the other will move in later….she is on a mission trip to Greece right now (why do I not ever hear about these kinds of trips!) Had a late lunch, and driving tour of the school from her roomie. It was good to see it all. I totally forgot to take pictures once we got there! I have asked E to do some for me; I may not put them on here but I do want some to have to show family. We found out that Miss. State plays over there this fall so that might be a fun game to go to if we can get tickets. I think she is excited to be there, maybe a little apprehensive about school since she’s been out a year but is looking forward to it all. A fun new experience awaits!

Glad you guys got all her stuff there before it rained. What a pain to be pulling a trailer full of furniture and stuff in the rain. Ick. Can’t wait to see pictures of her new place!

P.S. She has a lot more stuff than I did at her age! 🙂
