Maybe it was all weekend long. 🙂 Liz has been here some before she moves off to go back to school & work, so Chris came to visit this weekend. Plus David came up on Saturday, with a friend, so we could celebrate his birthday with him a little bit! They waited until almost supper time to get here, but we cooked out and had cake/ice cream with them. He wanted deer sausage, burgers, chips, crunchy slaw so that’s what we did!
Getting the cake ready with candles but, oops, I think there was too much stuff still on the counter to see the cake! (Chris, Liz & David’s friend Justin just out of sight)
Elizabeth and Chris painstakingly put all the candles on to make a number and I tried to get it but it didn’t really show up when they were
all lit.
The all night long part came in next………Don decided to trade trucks with David, so at like 9 at night they started taking out tool boxes and swapping everything over from one truck to the other. I had no idea it would take so long. The rest of us played Trivial Pursuit; Justin beat us all! Don & David worked outside in the mosquitoes until about 1 in the morning. Now David has a truck with air that works and a door that will actually open; but Don is driving around the older, rattier truck! This will make him look faster for a new one I think!
David & Justin drove back to Clinton after that……we were all tired on Sunday! Everyone here got naps after church, except for me. We had a fellowship after church last night so we made homemade ice cream for that; I did oreo and it was gone fairly quick…..I am glad to not have any to bring home! And I sent the rest of the birthday cake with David so it won’t be around here for me or Elizabeth to be tempted with. Our downstairs air conditioner has gone out and I thought I wouldn’t be able to sleep last night……but I turned on the ceiling fan full blast and actually slept the whole night, from being up so late Saturday I’m sure! Don has called someone to come look at it; I hope he comes before it gets too hot here without it!
I love it when some of the kids get to visit & we party all night long!

Looks like fun! Hope they all had a good time, and congrats to David for getting a newer truck! I bet Don has a new one in no time 🙂 Sorry the a/c is out, at least it’s not QUITE as bad this week as last, but it’s still really hot. You’ll just have to stay upstairs a lot till it’s fixed!

Looks like a fun weekend weekend. Yikes on the a/c, but I did notice it’s not as hot, still hot, but last night I went outside while Patt washed his bike and it was actually comfy outside:)
