Went down to Madison late yesterday for Don and Tim to play golf, again! They got it bad. We had planned to drive home last night but they got through later than expected and we were very tired. So we spent the night and drove back early, early this morning so Don could get to work by 7ish. I am tired now and it’s not even mid-morning! The sun was this beautiful red ball when it first came up and I tried to get pictures…….took me a few tries before I switched to a landscape mode on my camera and at 70 miles an hour, it’s hard to get pictures! Took quite a few hoping that some would turn out and a few were halfway decent. I’ll include 2 of them here:

It had gotten higher in the sky by the time I got this one and it didn’t show up as red once I got the shot but this looks pretty good with a catfish pond in the foreground.

and in this one you can hopefully see a new pivot in the field that hubby’s workers have been putting up; the sun was getting even higher here and way less red, just bright!

We’re so glad you came, just sorry you had to get up so early and leave! WOW. These are great pictures! I can never get pictures of the sun or moon to come out, I haven’t figured out what settings to use on my camera, and when I shoot in regular auto mode, I get a big white blob! So, yours are great 🙂
