Book - Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson
This book was excellent. For a writer who usually writes detective novels, a love story was a real change of pace for him. I have to say that the last several chapters were real tear jerkers. This book was FULL of emotion. Be sure to have a box of kleenex handy if you decide to read this book.

Book - Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson Posted by Gail on 2006-08-28 08:30:13 My Score:
Katie Wikinson's boyfriend Matt dumps her but sends her a gift, a diary kept by his wife Suzanne for their son Nicholas. Katie decides to read it and learns of Suzanne's heart attack at a young age, a move to Martha's Vineyard to slow her life down, her meeting & falling in love with Matt and finds herself liking Suzanne despite herself. There is some suspense with what happens to Suzanne and Katie doesn't know if there is a future for her and Matt but she continues the diary.
This is the first book by this author I've read and had no idea what to expect. It's an easy read and somewhat sad but not too hard to figure out what will happen. I liked the description of the 5 balls and your life; have heard similar things but described in different ways. Apparantly this author writes more suspense books than romance so not sure if I'll read anything else by him but this was a fairly enjoyable book. |

Well, I checked this book out of the library on Amanda's recommendation. It was a good book, but either from Amanda's comments or maybe being around Tim as long as I have been, I saw the ending coming a mile away. I didn't shed a tear - sorry Amanda! It was a good book, though, and I was glad I read it! :) |
