This was the last of the Mitford series books by Jan Karon. I thorougly enjoyed not only this book, but all of the ones in the series. The books focus on the small fictional town of Mitford, North Carolina and the town's favorite Episcopal preacher, Father Tim. When we first meet him, he's a bachelor leading his flock, including several eccentric townspeople. As we follow Father Tim through the books, he meets a woman and falls in love, finds a young boy who needs a good home and has many wonderful encounters with people from all walks of life.
I highly recommend these books, and would recommend that you read them in order. Here's a list:
