DVD - Sahara
We rented this on DVD and both enjoyed it. It's based on a character named Dirk Pitt who is the subject of many of Clive Cussler's fiction books. And fiction it is!
The movie stars Matthew McConaughey as Dirk Pitt, with Penelope Cruz (Eva), Steve Zahn (Dirk's sidekick Al), and William H Macy (as The Admiral) in supporting roles. McConaughey and Zahn are treasure hunters, looking for - of all things - a Civil War ironclad battleship in west Africa. Yes, it's very far-fetched and you have to swallow this with a grain of salt. Other than that, it's a good old-fashioned action adventure, pretty clean overall and fairly entertaining. If you can get past the far-fetched plot, it's very enjoyable, we both really liked it! :)

Kathryn and Jeremy had this movie and we all saw it together over the Christmas weekend.........good, pretty clean and fun to watch. Good rental!
