DVD - The Pacifier

We got this movie from our local Blockbuster with a free rental coupon and watched it this past weekend when Gail & Don were here. This is the movie with Vin Diesel as a Navy SEAL whose new assignment is to protect a family of 5, as a matter of "national security".

I had high hopes for this movie, and looking back, my expectations were probably a little too high. It was cute, it was funny overall, and it was very clean. The negative side is that I think I *expected* it to be funnier and so I was a little disappointed. I thought it was a little contrived, so to speak, and that they had to work really hard at coming up with far-out scenarios for either some added action or humor.

That said, I did like it and would recommend it if you wanted something light, a little funny and clean. We won't be buying this one to add to our collection.

I took a straw poll when Gail and Don were here, and the consensus was to rate this movie about a 5 or 5.5. Some liked it better than others!
